CRUSHES
Oh how time flies...I remember vividly when I had my first crush, I wasn't well informed about my feelings I thought I would just enter secondary school, go through the academic stage, make friends, have some vibe killers and I would graduate. In my own scenario I didn't have anyone to tell about how I was feeling which made me confide in friends that may have had use the opportunity to blackmail me emotionally. It's totally normal to have a crush unlike nowadays when people say it out loud, it wasn't so back then.
Most people develop feelings in different ways, he/she may have helped you during your tough times and that make you view them in a different perspective. You start noticing their physical features like abs, pink lips, curly hair or maybe even their personality. From that you want to see them everyday, engage in conversations with them most times. So if you notice yourself developing feelings for the opposite sex, it's totally normal what really matters is what you do with it. If you let your heart lead, one single decision might either make you or break you.
We don't wanna tell our parents how we feel afraid of how they will react. In life to get through you need someone, it can be your friend, your parent, your brother, your counsellor...the one person you find it easy to communicate with. Well it was my first crush so I didn't really deal with it very well, I ran anytime I saw him which made my early years in secondary school very frustrating. Funny enough I prefer telling a guy I like him rather than being all shy and looking at him from a distance with lovey dovey eyes.
Everyone is unique and deal with their emotions in different ways, the way I deal with my feelings may be different from how you would. You need to use your head sometimes instead of your heart, he/she may seem attractive physically but he may be the opposite emotionally and mentally so that you don't get disappointed when you find out. People are likely to be different from the person they project to be on the outside.
The things about crushes is if you rush into a crush, you might get crushed. I stopped thinking about him, when I heard he was playing truth or dare with some people...it was like a switch within the twinkle of an eye it was all gone and I even started noticing his imperfections on his physical appearance. Trust me people might talk but all that doesn't matter as long as you know it's a phase and it's totally normal. 95% of the human race have had crushes so be confident, stand upright, don't let your emotions get the best of you and always remember to use your head so as not to make irrational decisions due to feelings.
